Selection process
The awarded proposals are selected based on their ability to promote scientific understanding in the field of rain enhancement science and further develop related technologies, applications, and operations, as well as build funding and human resource capacity both locally and globally.
- Potential applications are asked to register on the submission portal by early March.
- The submission deadline for pre-proposals is mid March.
- Once evaluated, the entries will be evaluated by a review committee and shortlisted: these candidates will be asked to submit their full proposals by mid-August.
- The awarded research teams will be selected and informed by November.
All the awarded proposals we selected were subject to criteria according to a weighted score. The five criteria are:
- Overall Scientific and Technical Merit, Significance and Innovation (35%)
- Approach, Project/Delivery Plan, Milestones and Deliverables (20%)
- Investigator/Team (20%)
- Capacity Building (15%)
- Required/Available Resources and Budget (10%)
